Win98-ME/2000 – 3 years.
Win2k-XP – 1 year
WinXP-Vista – 6 years

Windows has traditionally had only 3 years or fewer between releases. XP was the only exception.

Wine is a windows emulator. To make a distinction that “it is not windows” is specious at best, disingenuous at worst, and laughable in either case. You can rail against windows all you want, but you’re still using it because it works. And the viruses argument is inane. Anyone who really knows how to use a computer won’t get a virus, and Vista is less susceptible to viruses than XP. Furthermore, those who DON’T use computers well will benefit from VIsta’s UAC, which you previously derided.
One of much thousand points, which I could form, but the most important, this is. Each possible NichtMicrosoft OS does it, Microsoft copies him. In quite sure that one was several times proven. Another note, as I said, I use window, Xp. I said that Vista sucks, because it does. Y became otherwise became member state bail on it and rebrand it (with some new characteristics) as its following release. I hope that they receive their SH! t straight with win7. Debian, sheet & amp; XP are mostly, which I use, sheet. Really the play run. Ammunition that
Umm, last time i checked, wine is not windows, it is definately and emulator, but windows, not a chance. So yeah, wine and cedega are solutions. Tons and tons of free software for windows, also tons and tons of viruses, and other good stuff to mash up your system.
Wow, what a great argument. Iso files aren’t burned by default. That’s a deal breaker! Oh wait, download a free third party alternative and you’re good to go within minutes. THAT’S your ammo against Vista? Please try again.
You’re kidding yourself if you think Wine and Cedega are perfect solutions. They are barely passable. And having full game support using those? Please! Plus, you again have to use WINDOWS in order to run those games, so you prove my point in any case. There are tons of free software available for windows, more than on linux, so that point is moot.
To a further thing underline. Youre, that is not fähig to correct – click an ISO document, on and burn you them to the disk, without the assistance of an application of third parties. Those is a thing Vista inclination does and is gone on into Linux f
Pairs of the words for it. Wine & amp; Cedega. Between those programs plays run. Presupposed you your system to assemble can do and this acting somewhat more than showing and clicking meant, like you do you with windows. Also seeing like software, which is just as well developed for those most, for free, on Linux, Arbeiten, if not better than, which your paying developers form, which are quite cursed for free good. Productivity, not computers referred that problem between that keyboard & amp exists; Chair.
You’re an idiot. Vista is the most stable OS I’ve ever come across. Aero does use more RAM but it’s easy to turn off. And if you know how to use a computer, you don’t need UAC, but for the dummies who get viruses, it’s something they should use. I can do anything a *nix OS can do, and more. My software choices far outweigh any competing OS, and I never get viruses because I take precautions. Of course viruses aren’t an issue with *nix, neither is software, games, or productivity. Dumbass.
Dude, vista sucks. Aero in vista sucks up so much of your system resources that it needs to be turned off. UAC, yeah thats a joke too, got to be turned off due to the annoyance factor. Why would M$ even put a feature like that in an os? Hands down, any day, any hardware, any *nix distro will crush windows. viruses and windows, yeah, it may be a matter of know what to do and not do, so you dont get one, with *nix, viruses arent even an issue. you come off as such a moron, i had to comment.
Half Life 2, CS:S, Far Cry, BF2 should all work at max settings easily at a medium resolution like 1280 x 800 w/o anti-aliasing. Hell Crysis would run at minimum settings if you really wanted to test it. The 9300M isn’t too bad, but it of course isn’t a proper GPU for gaming these days. I know you can get these things with a 9500M though, which is a revision of the 8600M and would be close in performance to the desktop 8600GT which can run Crysis at medium settings.
But, ignoring those people, this is quite k
People saying this is good for gaming. . . . ROFL. please. the thing has a notebook proc, DDR2-667! jeez at least put in 800, or better yet, DDR3. an Nvidia 9300 M GS. not only is it a 9300, but it’s the mobile version. The touchsmart is pretty much a non-portable laptop. And please, show me any gpu halfway awesome game that would run flawlessly on this machine.
